  IBODYSHOP HALVES FEES
                       BRIEFS
        IBODYSHOP MANAGING DIRECTOR STEVE
O'Brien has chosen to support his huge customer base (over 1000 bodyshops) by cutting the cost of his workshop man- agement program by 50%.
“We know that the repair industry is do- ing it tough, with estimates falling by 50 per cent on average in recent weeks. For some repairers, the impact has been mini- mal, whilst others are facing considerable financial hardship. And possibly worst is yet to come, with the market predicted to bottom out in May and June,” he said.
“We realise our fees are at the low end of a shop’s overheads – but every little bit helps. Therefore, during the antici- pated peak of the downturn, all iBody- shop fees will be reduced by 50% for three months from the 1st of May 2020. We will also implement free training for shops that want to take advantage of the slowdown so they can hit the ground running when business rebounds.
“At DNS, this discount will result in a substantial financial hit. We have trimmed expenses where possible, but our overheads are relatively fixed. The iBodyshop service must be constantly maintained by our 31 staff to provide support during the crisis and, important- ly, when business returns to normal. We have held discussions with our bank to
LIVE ASSESSING
HELLO CLAIMS IS OFFERING ITS LIVE
streaming technology LiveLogik to all repairers to allow them to quote for re- pairs without the car owner having to leave the driveway.
Hello Claims, a claims management, assessment and accident management company has come up with the idea to assist all motor insurers, brokers and repairers throughout Australia and New Zealand, to get through this un- precedented time.
Nick Herford, CEO of Hello Claims said: "Hello Claims is operating as busi- ness as usual due to its live streaming technology LiveLogik.”
defer our loans and have applied for the government JobKeeper allowance. We will also receive the PAYG rebate but, like all of you, our financial losses will be sig- nificant. We have, nonetheless, made the decision to reduce our fees in the inter- ests of helping our customers ride out the economic storm. We are, after all, “all in this together”, he said.
The discount offer and free training also applies to new customers.
Herford suggests with the use of Hello Claims live video streaming and collab- oration tool, repairers can clear that backlog of quotes based of live stream- ing videos obtained from the customer, all from the safety of everybody’s homes.
‘Many insurers are facing the difficult question of how best to support their cus- tomers in the claims process at this time. Live video streaming is definitely one prod- uct seeing a surge in demand that provides a safe alternative to the claim and repair handling process,” said Herford.
Hello Claims says it is happy to assist any insurer, broker, fleet manger or re- pairer. Email: Nick@helloclaims.com. au. A video of how the system works can be found on the Paint & Panel YouTube channel.

PPG COLOUR MATCHING COMP HITS FACEBOOK
PPG Colour Matching Competition is a very popular annual event and, thanks to a new Facebook Group, past and present participants can now stay connected 24/7. Win, lose or draw, the annual PPG Colour Matching Competition is all about participation. The exclusive
group is open to those who have previously taken part in the competition, whether at regional, state or
final level, along with
trade instructors and
apprentices who
wish to participate in
future competitions.
This is particularly
relevant at this time
due to the forced
postponement of the
2020 event due to
COVID-19. As a
result, provisions have been made for
any apprentice who was eligible this year to then be entitled to compete in the 2021 event. Overall, the PPG Colour Matching Competition Facebook Group has the potential to be a valuable resource for the wider automotive spray painting community.
You can make a request to join the group by visiting www.facebook.com/groups/ PPGcolourmatching
