awards, now in their sixth year, were created to recog- ise the outstanding contri-
bution women make to what is undoubtedly a male dominated indus- try. The awards have been supported from their inception by IAG.
From shop owners to technicians in the workshop and every conceivable role in be- tween, there are women who are the back- bone of successful autobody businesses across the country. The awards have grown and matured to include women from in- dustry suppliers and this year a solo cate- gory for female parts managers which is sponsored by Parts Check. BASF and IBod- yshop have also come on board as support- ing sponsors for the awards and seminar.
Nominate a talented, determined, successful woman who makes a posi-
tive impact on your autobody repair fa- cility for the 2020 Women in Collision awards on the Paint & Panel website..
Winners will be profiled in the maga- zine and presented their awards at the Women in Collision seminar later this year which will take place in Sydney – depending on coronavirus restrictions. The closed Women in Collision Face- book group now has over 250 members who regularly share knowledge and opinions – all women in the industry are welcome to join.
Two winners will be picked in five catego- ries; you'll find the information in our Wom- en in Collision tab in the events and awards section on the Paint & Panel website:
• Female technician/estimator
• Admin/customer service
• Parts manager
• Industry supplier representative
The 2020 winners are selected by the previous year’s winners. Entrants can be nominated by their colleagues or nominate themselves. The nominee or nominator must fill out a Survey Monkey form telling us all about the woman’s role in the business and why she deserves to win. Finalists will be flown (where appropiate) to the venue for the seminar and award presenta- tion and will make up the 2021 judg- ing panel.
NOMINATED BEFORE?
If you have nominated someone be- fore and they were not selected as a finalist please nominate again. It’s a different panel of judges each year and maybe you just needed to add a bit more detail to the Survey Mon- key judging form.
