THE WOMEN IN COLLISION SEMINAR AND AWARDS EVENT GROWS AND DEVELOPS EACH YEAR.
O VER 60 PEOPLE CAME TOGETHER for our Women in Collision seminar and awards, sponsored by IAG on Friday 15 November in Brisbane. Thank you to everyone who contributed to a wonderful after- noon including the handful of men from Repair Hub, Mark Czvitkovits from I-
CAR and Troy Johns from IAG.
The whole industry was represented with women from AMA Group, Fix Auto, Repair Hub, Car Craft, many independ- ents as well as a good showing from in-
dustry suppliers.
We started the event hearing from
some of the delegates about their role and what they loved about the industry. The general consensus is that the huge
variety is one of its most attractive traits and that no two days are the same.
Our first speaker was Jessica Collusso from MaxMyProfit business coaching company. She is an expert digital market- eer and gave a straightforward, gobbledy- gook-free presentation on why social me- dia is so vital for business along with some brilliant tips on increasing engage- ment and what different ad campaigns can do in terms of lead generation or di- recting people to your website. Facebook 15 million users in Australia and there are nine million on Instagram. Colusso's message is that if you aren't using it you are missing out. Social media is not about selling but about story telling. She stressed how important it is to have a
goal and a strategy. There were plenty of take homes including don't hit the boost button on facebook. If you want to boost as post the most effective way to do it is create an advert for it.
