OKI launches Pro Series for labels
Packed with the latest in OKI digital LED technology, the company says its Pro Series Label Printers take creativity and flexibility to a new level for on demand printing, with professional four colour (Pro1040) and five colour (Pro1050) narrow-format printing across a wide range of materials.
The OKI Pro Series Label Printers are designed
to help businesses create high quality label printing, on demand.
The company says there is now
the option to print the quantities needed with no waste, from a single label to runs of several thousand. OKI says printing is fast and hassle- free making personalised label printing easy and affordable.
CMYK + White
There are two models in the range, the Pro1040 (CMYK) and the Pro1050 (CMYK + White), which OKI says bring creative printing to life with vibrant colours and a high print quality of 1200 x 1200dpi.
An exclusive feature for a printer of this size is the benefit of white as a fifth colour, available on
the Pro1050. While printing all colours in a single pass, the white toner allows greater flexibility in the design on different coloured backgrounds, transparent substrates, security labels placed on glass and on coloured or metallised substrates which are difficult to print using other digital printing technologies.
To achieve perfect gradients it
has a precise layering control of CMYK + White toner for an accurate colour result. Defined printing of 2D lines and 3D elements can also be achieved for accurate and scannable barcodes and QR codes.
Media handling
According to OKI, the Pro Series has unrivalled media handling capability, accommodating uncoated, glossy
and textured papers, synthetics
with a wide range of substrates, which can be clear, opaque, white
or coloured, and even labels with special adhesives which are difficult to peel off. And to make on-demand printing easy, rolls of different media types can quickly be exchanged.

Waterproof and
UV resistant
Applications such as industrial chemical labelling, asset tracking labels, outdoor-use labels for horticulture, or labels for packaging, beverages and household goods are all within the remit of the Pro Series. The printers can produce waterproof labels that have been tested to survive underwater and are robust enough to resist UV fading.
Easy to use
The new Pro Series is a user-friendly tabletop solution; the consumables have a high capacity and, says OKI, rolls of different media types can
be exchanged easily and quickly. The printers are straightforward to install, and require minimal training, as they are designed to be used inhouse.
Software to design
Industry-leading BarTender UltraLite design and print software is included with every Pro Series Label Printer. According to OKI simple commands make creating new designs and templates easy, even for beginners.
