look set to turn heads for the mystery driver of this Porsche, which was centre-stage at the Epson new product launch.
Described as the Epson staffer’s “pride and joy”, the original sleek jet black look
of the German engineering masterpiece was transformed when he innocently volunteered it to demonstrate the printing quality of the company’s first 12-colour printers.
Pictured with the car Bruce Bradley, general manager for marketing at Epson said, “The new Epson printers produce vibrant colour, brightness and clarity, at high speed.”
Speaking to the trade press at the first day of a three
day launch event for the new printers, Epson’s new managing director Craig Heckenberg
said, “It is an exciting new portfolio, with Epson Precision
harness. The new printers for instance use 83 per cent less energy. We are proud to bring these solutions to market, which are built on Epson innovation and engineering craftsmanship.”
All the new printers use
first 12-colour printers, the 24” SC-P7560 and the 44” SC- P9560, which will produce an A1 print in 94 seconds.
The company is also launching two new dye sub printers; the 24” SC-560 and the 64” SCF-9460. 21

Industry veteran Ellis will pull up stumps after heading Ovato for the past four years, and will be returning to the family base in Tauranga, 200kms south of Auckland.
Gardiner brings 30 years
of media and marketing experience to bear on the role, and will be returning to his homeland after an extended stint in Australia, most recently leading large-scale success and organisational change in his role as commercial director at Bauer Media in Australia.
He takes the role at a testing time, with web margins under intense pressure in New Zealand due to overcapacity.
Kevin Slaven, CEO of Ovato said, “I have been able to witness Paul’s impact firsthand, firstly as a client of Ovato
and more recently with our time together on the Board
of the Real Media Collective. One of the core elements of
our strategy is a focus on our customers, and being able to bring a talented commercial and innovative leader back to New Zealand and into this role will allow us to focus even more fully on our customers’ needs.”
Gardiner said, “I feel I am coming into the new role with both eyes open and a demonstrated passion and belief in the sector.” 21
