INDUSTRY CENSUS
HERE HAS BEEN A RECORD
response to the first national
industry census with nearly collision repair businesses taking part at the time of print- ing. The aim is for at least 1000 re- sponses to provide essential data to highlight the issues affecting the indus- try, especially in the area of skills shortages. The census is anonymous and takes just five minutes to complete and is open to anyone in the collision repair industry from one man bands up
to businesses with 15 sites.
The data will be published for the
whole industry to view. It is essential that there is national data reflecting the the severity of the skills shortage and data on whether there is an aging tech- nician pool, especially in the panel shop. The census should be filled out by the business owner or manager. The
data collected will be published in the next issue of the magazine and will be made available to the entire industry.
