ASHLEY HILL FROM MOTORONE ACACIA RIDGE HAS SHOWN PLENTY OF INITIATIVE AND HARD WORK SINCE HE JOINED MOTOR ONE THIS YEAR.
R ISINGSTARAWARDWINNER Ashley Hill originally moved to Acacia Ridge, Queensland from the Bankstown area in Sydney with his family and, just like a dogged bulldog, he has excelled since
joining MotorOne in March of this year. Hill joined MotorOne as the Paint Shop Team Leader at the south Brisbane repair shop after previously working for a company further north. In just a few short months repair centre manager Dayne Peters, had a vacancy and Hill
had already displayed his capabilities. “Where feasible, Motor One will look inward first when promoting,” said Dayne Peters, who nominated Ashley for the Ris- ing Star Award. “We are operating flat out
and we needed a production manager.” As the scale of production in the shop grew Hill identified the need for more assistance in the overall production management of the operation and took it upon himself to assist the repair centre manager in whatever capacity he could. This ranged from quality control to as- signing and distributing vehicles to ap- propriate tradesmen, to polishing and
washing cars.
“He has since embraced the role of pro-
duction manager and enabled the rapid growth of production levels at MotorOne Autobody Acacia Ridge,” says Peters.
MotorOne has a great reputation in the in- dustry, a track record achieved it says by working on its three key pillars: experience, reliability and trust.

respected within the Acacia Ridge team and the team know they can rely on him whenever they need to.
The role of production manager sees Hill taking charge of overall production management of shop production, along with handling quality control.
The Acacia Ridge site is just one of seven repair shops on the eastern sea- board with a further four under con- struction in Victoria and New South Wales. Hill’s work ethic and capability fits in nicely with those key pillars, showing reliability and trust amongst
fellow workmates and the same with customers visiting the shop.
At just 35 years of age, his experience grows exponentially every day.
Outside of work Hill is known to support the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League. Having grown up in that area it is a sure sign that, for Hill, some old habits die hard; especially consid- ering how dire their last season turned out, winning just three games in a 24 game sea- son and picking up the wooden spoon.
Maybe ‘loyalty’ is another pillar Moto- rOne should adopt.
