The inaugural Food & Hospitality Queensland lands in Brisbane next month to showcase the state's dynamic foodservice industry.
Event director Tim Collett is thrilled to bring the show to Queensland, having run many successful exhibitions in Brisbane in the late nineties.
“Queensland is a huge market that is becoming increasingly sophisticated,” he says. “There is no doubt that food and hospitality are front and centre of most developments in Brisbane and up the coast. That applies to tourism as well as permanent population growth and retirement living”.
Over 100 exhibitors will participate in Food & Hospitality Queensland and will display their latest food, drink and equipment ideasforchefs,restaurateurs,cafe managers, hoteliers, and other foodservice professionals. This includes new catering equipment, and at the Hospitality Superstore stand chef gear and apparel. Major brands Rational, Stoddart, Unox, Moffat, Robot Coupe, Winterhalter, Cyberchill and Mackies will also be exhibiting their products.
Collett says, “While some
of the larger operators might go to Sydney for a show there are literally thousands of business who need new ideas but don’t have the time to travel or shop around. This event will give them access to the least ideas and suppliers all under one roof.
“The other advantage of attending a local show is that visitors will be talking to people who understand their business and can supply them straight away. There is no point discovering a product that you cannot get in your home town.”
In addition to the wide range of exhibitors, the event will offer
visitors the opportunity to get involved in a varied and vibrant program of educational and inspirational events.
Accordingly, Collett sees Food & Hospitality Queensland as a great opportunity for those
in the local industry. “If you
work in a cafe, restaurant, hotel, supermarket or resort then make sure you put this event in your diary and come along. There is just no better way to meet new suppliers, discover new techniques and improve your business.”

Taking place within Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre's conference room, the Aged Care Catering Summit brings together expert operators and suppliers to discuss how to best provide nutritious meals for elderly consumers.

Free workshops will be hosted at the Brisbane Café School. They include how to build a better breakfast, pour the perfect coffee, flip a gourmet burger and prepare a super sandwich.
