during transfer between conveyors and handling equipment.
In collaboration with the customer, FlexCAM proposed a multi-stage installation schedule. The conveyor specialist deployed temporary solutions to ensure there was no interruption to production. Once no longer required, temporary solutions were redeployed within the production environment. Parts of the system were pre- assembled and thoroughly tested to ensure trouble-free operation prior to installation.
ON THE PLUS SIDE
With the new conveying system installed, production capacity increased by 354 per cent with a reported equipment efficiency of 99.99 per cent. There was zero productionlossduring
installation and changeover time was reduced by 91 per cent.
