Helicopter Engines Australia provides MRO support to Australia’s Tiger Helicopter MTR390 engines and Australia’s fleet of RTM322 engines which power MRH90 helicopters. In addition to helicopter activities, Safran Helicopter Engines Australia also supports the Saphir 10 APU and Air Turbine Starter for the Australian Hawk 127 LIF. Safran Helicopter Engines Australia also provides Front Office, deep maintenance and logistic support to customers throughout Australia, the Pacific Islands and New Zealand for the Arriel 1 & 2 and Arrius 1 & 2.

We provide Total Logistics Support (TLS) for the RAAF’s General Electric F404 and F414 engines as fitted to the Hornet and Super Hornet fleet;F404 MRO support for the RMAF F/A18 C/D fleet;TLS for the Army’s Honeywell AGT1500 gas turbines fitted to the Abrams Main Battle Tank; and were also assigned F135 MRO&U responsibilities for the APAC region in support of the Joint Strike Fighter. We provide MRO support for the Pratt & Whitney PT6A engine; are a Honeywell authorised overhaul service centre for TPE331 & TFE731 engines; a GE Aviation H80/ M601 engine Designated Repair Centre and PW Power Systems approved APS 500, APS 1000, T-62T-40-1 and T-62T-2B Auxiliary Power Unit overhaul venue. Our overhaul capability for turbine engines is supported by in-house fleet management, engineering, configuration management, condition monitoring systems, materials support and a broad range of repair capabilities including welding, precision machining, heat treatment, NDT, bearing repair and overhaul, fuel component repair and overhaul, precision balancing, and computer- controlled engine testing capabilities.
