CAPABILITIES: Silvus MN-MIMO (Mobile Net – Multi In Multi Out) Radios were originally developed for the US Military, and have been chosen as the radio platform for the High Data Rate Line Of Sight (HDRLOS) component of SEA1442 for the ANZAC class Frigates. Silvus radios differ from conventional Mesh Radios by delivering:
• Exceptional point-to-point performance equal to or better than con- ventional Microwave platforms, typically in less spectral bandwidth
• Frequency bands from 400 MHz to 6 GHz, including Australian ISM
bands
• High Power amplifier solutions
• A design optimised for mobile deployment in temporary and semi-
permanent installations
• Asymmetrical data rates up to 100 Mbps
• “Switch on and go” operation, requiring little or no management
once configured for field operations. Silvus MESH is a true peer-to- peer, self-forming, self-healing mesh with no master and no con- figuration requirements after initial setup. Members of the MESH can join and leave freely.

CAPABILITIES: ASC Pty Ltd is Australia’s largest specialised de- fence shipbuilding organisation with naval design and engineering resources unparalled within Australia’s defence industry. Established in 1985 as the prime contractor for the design, manufacture and deliv- ery of the Royal Australian Navy’s (RAN) fleet of six Collins Class submarines, ASC was subsequently contracted for the multi-billion dollar through life-support of the Class until the end of the opera- tional life. In 2005 ASC was awarded the role of shipbuilder for the Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyer project. This project sees the most advanced and complex warships ever built in Australia being consolidated at ASC’s Osborne, South Australia shipbuilding facility. ASC’s production workforce consists of highly trained and skilled trades people, with the knowledge and skills to refurbish, install, maintain and commission the wide variety of equipment systems and fittings for surface and underwater platforms. Workshop capabili- ties include fabrication and welding, mechanical assembly, installa- tion and alignment of shafting, installation of diesel generators, weapon systems, mast and periscopes, hydraulic systems, valve blocks and pumps, installation of electrical and electronic equip- ment, cabling and connectors/terminators to military standards and machining capability.
