CAPABILITIES: DXC Technology have a 20+ year history in the devel- opment and maintenance of Combat System Simulators (CSSim). Supporting the ANZAC frigate and other platforms, this high-fidelity simulator capability is installed at HMAS Watson and HMAS Sterling for Combat System Command Team and Operator Training. DXC have produced both a Mobile Onboard Training System (MOBTS) and per- manently fitted Onboard Training Systems that enables training of personnel as if they were conducting a live exercise at sea.
DXC develops training systems for Defence platforms, including sen- sor and weapons simulations. A range of simulation services are pro- vided to support both training, and on the job functional support util- ising the latest in AR and VR technology. Solutions developed include RAAF Avalon Mobile AR Application, equipment maintenance sup- port applications and digital 3D AR models of platforms and systems. We offer a capability for using simulation and AR technology to en- able the virtual design of new naval platforms – the digital shipyard, allowing users to view and walk through 3D models of the ship design well before steel is cut.
