DACODA ENDACOT
OUR PREVIOUS RISING STAR WINNERS HAVE ALL BEEN MANAGEMENT, HOWEVER WE FEEL YOUNG DACODA ENDACOTT IS DEFINITELY ON THAT PATH.

Smash Repairs (LSR) in Mudgee, NSW. Endacott in- herited the passion for cars gene from her dad and uncle and spend many hours in the garage with them helping with their projects. “Deep down I think I always wanted to have something to do with that field of work but it wasn’t until I was in year 11 that I really started to look into the trade and learn what it truly had to offer.” In 2015 went to work at LSR as an detailer and then was offered an
apprenticeship as a painter.
She excelled right from the start and
in 2016 was a awarded a scholarship through TAFE which allowed her to take part in additional training at the PPG training centre at Eastern Creek in Syd- ney. In 2018 she was awarded apprentice of the year at the Mudgee Clock Awards. Endacott says she has found being a woman in a male dominated industry both challenging and rewarding and praises the support she has received along the way from LSR.
Endacott stars in a video made to en- courage women to consider a career in body repair. She has now stepped up to the role of trainee estimator and is al- ready excelling.
LSR owner Simon Leven says. “Dacoda has many natural talents, but has the work ethic and determination and com- mitment to excellence. She is her own worst critic, has incredible eye for detail. Never can settle for anything but her best.
“Although she works in a male dom- inated trade, she has learnt to adapt and enjoy to and work well alongside her team well. She has a thirst for knowledge, she always overcomes new challenges.”
LEFT: It’s great to have young people advocating the industry, even better when its a young woman encouraging others to consider a career in collision repair.
