  EXECUTIVE SHAKE UP AT IAG
                         BRIEFS
           NICK HAWKINS HAS BEEN APPOINTED
IAG managing director and CEO. Hawkins succeeds Peter Harmer whose retirement was announced in
April this year.
Hawkins, who joined IAG in 2001, was
appointed Deputy CEO in April this year after 12 years as CFO. Prior to this he spent two years as CEO of IAG’s New Zealand business.
Hawkins said: “I am excited to lead IAG during its next phase of growth and ensure the company emerges from the economic downturn as a strong, resil- ient organisation.”
Hawkins immediately initiated an ex- ecutive restructure. He appointed a new CFO Michelle McPherson. Hawkins also announced that the Australia Division will be split into Direct Insurance Aus- tralia and Intermediated Insurance Aus- tralia, effective immediately. As a result, IAG CEO Australia, Mark Milliner, will leave the company at the end of Novem- ber. Milliner has been a force behind both Capital S.M.A.R.T and Repairhub.
Hawkins said the new operating model will provide greater clarity on roles and responsibilities and is more aligned to IAG’s brands and customer propositions.
