HOW THE NOMINATION PROCESS WORKS
Anyone from the repair industry (such as paint and equipment suppliers, insurers, customers etc) can nominate a shop for any of our award categories or you can self-nominate.
Each nomination is considered on its own merits - it doesn’t matter whether it has been nominated multiple times or just once.
Shops without websites will not be considered for judging.

new lowbake paint shop with three prep bays. Guljasis is bringing on the next generation with three apprentices on staff. When the shop was doing big- ger hits it had a full time mechanic and also invested in equipment for suspen- sion, tyres, wheel alignment and regas. The customer area is stylish, modern and comfortable. We look forward to visiting in person next year.
COASTAL COLLISION REPAIRS
MAROOCHYDORE QLD
This was another first time visit for us and we really rated it. Unfortunately for owner {name coming} he was up against Bissell’s Paint & Panel who won the bou- tique national award, but who knows about next year. {name coming } bought the business he was working in 12 years ago when it was situated in a small shed. They’ve since moved to a larger premis- es and there’s now 11 staff including {owner’s name}. There’s a small, smart customer area/cum office at the front of the shop.
Walking into the workshop there is a spacious blueprinting bay where the latest in welding technology also resides. The workshop is clean and well organised and extremely well equipped – thanks to the demands of

Tesla for whom the shop as recently been approved as a repairer.
It’s not ‘fancy’, there are two old but serviceable Seetal booths but the shop has the magical ‘operational excellence’ feel about it with technicians happily going about their work. We’ll definitely be back here.
NORTHSHORE COLLISION
CENTRE, ARTARMON, NSW
This shop totally has ‘phwoor’ factor, es- pecially for an inner city shop. However it was pipped to the post by Parramatta Smash Repairs this year. Ably run by Con Kousdy this BMW approved shop has a state-of-the art aluminium room and a pristine, well organised work- shop. The vast majority of cars in the workshop are BMW.
There’s a huge mezzanine for storage to help keep the large workshop clean and BC it was pumping out 30-40 cars per week. There’s a slick Lowbake paint shop and whole place is beautifully lit.
Like many inner city shops there’s more than one level – once the cars are repaired they go down to the enormous basement for detailing. The customer area is on a mezzanine floor and is fully dealership standard as is the office area and a really top lunch room.
