THERE ARE LESS BOUTIQUE SHOPS TODAY AS MANY PEOPLE ATTEMPT ECONOMIES OF SCALE IN LARGER FACILITIES. THEY HAVE THEIR OWN UNIQUE CHALLENGES WHICH THESE GUYS ARE RISING TOO EXTREMELY WELL.
BASHA AUTOHAUS,
WEST RYDE NSW
Greg Agoulian from Basha Autohaus has vastly improved the presentation and layout of the business with the addition of a third factory containing the custom- er facilities and a detailing area. We were very impressed with the quality of work being carried out in both the paint and panel shops. His passion for the business was refreshing.
ESSENDON PANELS,
ESSENDON VIC
Michelle Febrache is something of a super- woman – single mum to three kids while
running a collision repair business. Her background is the aviation industry and she has brought impressive process skills into the business. She has carved out a niche repairing ambulances and other ve- hicles for the Royal Flying Doctors.
PERTH AUTOBODY REPAIRS,
WELSHPOOL WA
Jamie and Elisha Damer took out the national best new shop last year. It is a stunner, with next level customer fa- cilities and great workflow. Jamie takes so much pride in the business, his team and service they offer. Their son Jordan is a finalist in the Young Achiever award too.
Zagame would like to congratulate all the winners and finalists for the 2022 Paint and Panel bodyshop awards.

SHEEN PANEL SERVICE, FERNTREE GULLY VIC
Ferntree Gully is a clean, tidy, well or- ganised, and well equipped workshop. It has a nice basket of mixed work – pri- vate, insurance and fleet. Manager Zane Lee runs a tight ship and exhibits pride in the business. The facility has been ex- panded and now the workshops are in two different buildings increasing pro- duction. Lee benefits also from Sheen’s excellent apprentice program.
STYLEMASTER PANELS,
RICHMOND VIC
This is a lovely shop with so much per- sonality and charm that doesn’t inter- fere with its impressive functionality. Owner Phillip Stewart is a great charac- ter with a cardboard cut out of King Charles in the office who he had dinner with back in the king’s prince days. His son Benjamin is a finalist in the man- ager category. A metro gem, this one.
