AMA GROUP HAS WORKED HARD TO CREATE A CULTURE OF SAFETY ACROSS THE NETWORK.
AMA GROUP SAYS IT IS COMMITTED TO
integrating health and safety into its ob- jectives, strategies, projects, and plans — along with everyday work processes to build a safe work culture within our organisation. A dedicated health, safety and environment (HSE) team supports
the entire AMA Group network to recognise and re- duce risks, estab- lish and maintain safe standards of operation, and train their people.
AMA’s Take the LEAD program encourages and equips every person in the group to act as a leader in health and safety.
A consistent, central process called AMAlert is used to report all HSE inci- dents within 24 hours and to ensure ap- propriate corrective actions are shared across the group, to avoid the incident being repeated elsewhere.
All staff have access to InitialCARE, a 24/7 helpline that provides medical tri- age advice from a registered nurse and assistance to organise visits to doctors, physiotherapists etc. if needed.
In mid-2022, AMA Group installed defibrillators in every one of its 158 re- pair sites across Australia and New Zealand.
