Australian Business Defence Industry represents the interests of Australia’s defence industry. ABDI works closely with its defence members in all States and Territories across all sectors of the defence industry in order to maximise business opportunities. ABDI has two full-time Canberra- based staff whose extensive and collective experience covers the Australian Defence Force, Government and Australia’s defence industry.

AUSTRALIAN SHIPBUILDING & REPAIR GROUP (ASRG)
The Australian Shipbuilding & Repair Group (ASRG) was formed as a result of a merger between the Australian Shipbuilders Association (established 1963) and the Australian Ship Repair Group (established 1971).
The ASRG is the recognised peak industry body representing
and promoting the capability of the Australian shipbuilding and repair industry sectors to both the domestic and international markets. Member companies are strategically located in major ports throughout Australia.
Since the late 1970s, Australian shipbuilders’ innovative designs and construction techniques have established Australia as the world leader in the production of lightweight high speed ferries. ASRG member companies produce and service a vast range of vessels including offshore crew/supply, fishing, patrol and other Naval vessels.
ASRG member companies provide services to the shipping industry including major refits, conversions, dry-dockings and slippings, hull and machinery repairs, mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance.
The ASRG provides professional, independent, impartial representation to assist the Australian shipbuilding and repair industry sectors, especially through representation to Government, the International Maritime Organisation and the media.
