CURRENT DEFENCE CONTRACTS
EOS has over 230 R400 Remote Weapon Systems currently in- service with Australia's combat forces. Sustainment and spare parts for these systems is provided by EOS.
Land 400 Phase 2: EOS has been selected to provide Remote Weapon Systems (the R400S Mk2 D-HD1) to be used on the Boxer, as part of the Land 400 Phase 2 Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle project. In May 2019 CASG took receipt of the first two systems.
It is planned for a further 82 systems to be supplied during the
course of the project. All EOS systems for Land 400 Phase 2 will be built in Australia in Queanbeyan, NSW and Hume, ACT and utilise components from approximately 70 Australian suppliers.
Land 400 Phase 3 down-selection success: for Hanwha Defence Australia (Hanwha) and EOS. "Team Redback" was one of the two teams selected to receive RMA contracts. Hanwha's AS21 "Redback" armoured vehicle will be equipped with EOS' advanced T2000 turret to provide mounted close combat capability. Land 400 Phase 3 seeks to deliver up to 450 infantry fighting vehicles and 17 support vehicles from 2024/25 onwards. If Team Redback is successful in achieving the contract award after RMA, the EOS work share will result in significant increased Australian Industrial Capability investment for Australian industry.
The Land 400 Phase 3 RFT also mandated that tenderers are to incorporate information for the EOS Remote Weapon System into their responses.
