AFTER MUCH ANTICIPATION, OCTOBER IS FINALLY HERE.
If you are one of the unlucky few unable to at- tend enjoy our special 10-page feature in this is- sue profiling the award finalists across all seven categories. It is an inspirational read and was a joy to put together.
But before we announce the winners, CCN Live participants will have the opportunity to take part in our open discussion on the future of the RAC trade.
The discussion will focus on specific workforce issues like training and upskilling as well as the need to overcome the invisibility problem that has plagued this industry.
To get all the latest news regarding the national training review turn to page 8. More detailed up- dates on how the review is progressing will be cov- ered at CCN Live in Melbourne on October 11, 2018. Also in this issue our annual Insulation & Ducting Feature and a 10-page Residential Air Conditioning Feature covering all of the latest product releases for the Australian market in the lead-up to summer.
And now back to the champions of our trade. Tickets can still be purchased for CCN Live at www.climatecontrolnews.com.au/live ✺
IT'S THE ONE month of the year when CCN comes to life. Readers get more than a glossy magazine or digital edition, they get to partici- pate in CCN Live.
The weeks leading up to the event are always hectic. This year I have been particularly preoc- cupied with the HVACR Leadership Awards and the upcoming winners presentation in Mel- bourne (only days away).
While the focus of the event is on the award win- ners, the finalists are all incredibly deserving.
In the lead up to the event I have been busy with promotional posts on social media reminding eve- ryone to buy their tickets to CCN Live 2018. When it was time to add a few hashtags I came incredibly close to including #Winning. But then remem- bered the word had been popularised by the likes of Hollywood actor, Charlie Sheen and US Presi- dent, Donald Trump. Suddenly #Winning didn't seem so fitting. I settled with #awards.
