Wi-Fi device for remote management
FUJITSU GENERAL AUSTRALIA has launched an infrared Wi-Fi solution, called the anywAiR technology Wi-Fi device, to remotely control a range of Fujitsu General air conditioning units.
Compatible with new, or a range of existing Fujitsu General indoor units up to 10 years old operating a wireless remote control with infra- red technology, the anywAiR technology Wi-Fi device enables users to control their indoor com- fort using the free,easy-to-use my anywAiR App.
The anywAiR technology Wi-Fi device is also compatible with a selection of smart home de- vices, such as Google Home.
This gives the user the ability to control and monitor the air conditioner conveniently using a range of voice commands, according to the com-
pany’s national product manager, Kyle Rafter. “Smart technology is becoming increasingly accessible and consumers are seeking more ways to control devices remotely around the
home ", he said.
“While consumers can easily purchase small-
er devices or appliances with smart technology, it’s not always a practical solution to replace an existing air conditioning unit in order to enable the functionality.
“The anywAiR technology Wi-Fi device allows Fujitsu General consumers to enable remote smart control on their new or existing air condi- tioning system using a simple infrared device with Wi-Fi remote control.”
With the my anywAiR App users are able to:
view or change the temperature setpoint, fan speed and louver position for multiple units; set the individual operating mode of each unit; view individual room temperatures; set timers and scenes and; turn individual units on or off, any- time, anywhere.
The free-to-download App is available via the Applestore or Google Play, and users can set up unlimited anywAiR technology Wi-Fi devices using the one account.
Users will have access to the local Fujitsu Gen- eral Assist in-house customer care and technical support team for all anywAiR technology Wi-Fi device support.

Four new products in a single retail solution
DANFOSS HAS LAUNCHED the next genera- tion ADAP-KOOL Case Controls Solution for food retail applications which features a new smartphone app to simplify design, installation, service, and use.
The solution includes four new products: new case controller platform, electric expansion
valve, pressure transmitter, and temperature sensor – all designed for an optimum solution.
Danfoss product manager for case controllers, Finar Luckmann, said for many food retailers, re- ducing costs is a number one priority.
“At the same time, retailers need to ensure consistent refrigeration performance at all times so food safety is never compromised,” he said.
“Reaching both of these targets requires a re- frigeration system that can automatically adapt to changing conditions.”
Danfoss said the ADAP-KOOL solution deliv- ers energy savings of 6-10% compared to the next best alternative, and it includes features that im- prove the user experience for OEMs, installers, and end users by simplifying design, installation, and service.
The AK-CC55 case controller relies on ad- vanced Danfoss algorithms to control cases, cab- inets, and cold rooms. User can, via a Bluetooth display, communicate with the controller using the new AK-CC55 Connect smartphone app.
The AKVP electronic expansion valve (EEV)
series combines the existing AKV and AKVH series into a single solution, covering both HFCs and CO2.
Installation and troubleshooting is easier with coloured sensor cables. The AKS 11 temperature sensor is reliable, accurate and provides faster response times, the company said.
Finally, the DST P110 pressure transmitter de- livers high accuracy and is designed to resist ex- treme vibration, temperature change, and elec- trical interference.
Luckmann said the smartphone app can dras- tically shorten service and maintenance proce- dures, saving time and money.
“The AK-CC55 Connect app is so easy and intui- tive; often it is not even necessary to take the cabi- net apart to check the refrigeration system,” he said.
“Users can get a fast and easy first-time fix and thereby reduce downtime, food loss and revenue losses.
“Also, the large terminals on the AK-CC55 make it easy to loop the pressure transmitter ca- ble from one controller to the next."
