4The EvoDECO Cold Glue la- beller, hygienically designed for consistent uptime, is available in six carousel sizes and can feature up to five labelling stations, making it easy to configure according to bot- tle size, output need and product type. Able to generate outputs of up to 81,000 containers per hour, the so- lution handles partial pre-cut paper labels, as such it is particularly suit- able for the beer, food, home and per- sonal care markets. It comes with a fully washable stainless-steel struc- ture and components: this, together with an automatic cleaning system, dedicated to all the parts that come into direct contact with the glue, en- sures top levels of hygiene. The la- belling station features quick-release tool-less label pallets for quick changeover time, while consistent uptime is ensured by the automatic label magazine loading system. ■
Bedding down circular economy goals
LABEL materials company UPM Raf- latac recently put its hand up to join Ellen MacArthur’s Circular Econo- my 100 program in an effort to pro- vide more circular labelling solu-
tions to the industry.

100) is a pre-competitive innova- tion program, which gives or- ganisations the chance to realise their circular economy ambi-

tainability, Robert Taylor, says the company’s goal is to create truly circular labelling solutions that will bypass the conventional plastics challenges faced today.
“We believe that networking and collaborating with like-minded or- ganisations around the circular economy will help us innovate solu- tions that were previously thought unviable,” he says.
UPM Raflatac has already been ecodesigning label products and of- fering recycling solutions for label waste through its innovative recy- cling concept RafCycle. By creating thinner and lighter recyclable and bio-based products, it has demon- strated how design and material choices affect product recyclability, helping brand owners reduce waste and turn waste into tomorrow’s valuable raw materials. ■
