Start Food-Tech Australia has rebranded to Pro-Pac Food Packaging & Supplies and relocated to its new base at Somerton, VIC.
In line with its new name, the company’s website will also be changed to www. propacfps.com.au.
There is no change in ownership and the company will continue to operate in its current structure.
WPO HOSTS 100TH BOARD MEETING ON GOLD COAST The World Packaging Organisation (WPO), whose president is Australian Pierre Pienaar, marked its 100th board meeting on 1 May. The meeting coincided with the AIP’s national conference and the WorldStar Packaging awards presentation (see p12).

$35m craft brewing plant

AN AMBITIOUS expansion pro- gram by brewing company Tribe Breweries will see the opening of a large craft bever- age facility in September.
The NSW contract brewer is seeing exponential growth in both its partner brewing and branded businesses, Brewpack Pty Ltd (Brewpack) and Stock- ade Brew Co (Stockade), both of which are now operating un- der the newly formed Tribe Breweries Pty Ltd (Tribe) um- brella following a restructure of the expanding business.
Stockade’s core beers include 8Bit IPA and Hop Splicer XPA.
PKN spoke to Anton Szpital- ak, co-founder and CEO of Tribe Breweries, who says that the corporate rebrand was driven by the fast growth in the market [the number of craft breweries is growing at 24% per annum since FY 2013] and the opportunities for the com- pany’s brands and those of its 35 contract partners. ■

The expansion program will see a new $35m brownfield brewing and packaging facility in Goulburn come on stream later this year. The new plant will include the latest brewing technology from Rolec and a flexible can and bottling line solution from Krones that the company says is “best in class,
