TC6644 BACnet Controller
THE TC6644 BACNET controller evolved from the TC5044 programmable controller. The TC5044 and the TC6644 controllers are unique in that they are programmable controllers that you do not have to program. They have over 45 pre- programmed function blocks for Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, Flow, CO, CO2, etc. However most or all parameters can be
changed from the standard defaults. Both controllers also have 365
day time clocks eliminating the
requirement for additional time
clocks. Programmable controllers
have one great drawback. They
have to be programmed. This leads
to many problems as to selecting the
input parameters, range, non-linear functions, the control loop or multiple loops. Setpoints, On and Off points, Hysteresis, Dead Bands, P-Bands, Integral Rates, etc.
When all these points are programmed for you and all you have to do is the select the func- tion block that best suits your purpose, then you have eliminated hours and sometimes days of programming controllers. The best part is that the program works.
The controller will operate with 1K, 2K and 10K NTC thermistors, as well as 1K Nickle and 1K Plat- inum PTC sensors. The controller also accepts 2 and 3 wire 4-20mA and 0-10VDC inputs for Tem- perature, Humidity, Pressure, Flow, CO and CO2.
There are 3 Analogue Outputs which are protected against short circuit and applica- tion of 24VAC to the outputs. 240VAC applied to the analogue outputs will definitely destroy the controller.
There are 4 electrically isolated Relay Outputs rated at 5A 250VAC. Relay 1 has a SPCO contact. Relays 2,3 and 4 are SPNO. The power supply will operate
from 18 – 265VAC/DC.
The protocol is BACnet MS/
TP and the baud rates are 9600, 19200, 38400, 76800 with a maximum of 28 nodes. All BAC- net Object Names and Types for Inputs and Outputs are listed in
the data sheet.
CO3800 CARBON MONOXIDE SMART SENSOR
OUR NEW CARBON Monoxide Smart Sensors have a solid sensor with a life span of 10 years as compared to the electro-chemical sensors which have a life span of 3 to 5 years. Our CO3800 Smart Sensor can operate on two wire non-polarised power and comms connection when connected to the TC5044 or TC6644 controllers. Up to ten smart sensors can be con-
nected to the same pair of wires and by setting the on-board DIP switches, each sensor can be read back at the controller. The Smart Sensors can also operate on three wire 0-10VDC or 4-20mA conventional sensors.
Each CO3800 CO Smart Sensor is individu- ally labelled with its Serial Number, Calibra- tion Date, Temperature and Calibration Refer- ence in PPM. The stability of these new sensors is a large improvement over the elec- tro-chemical sensors which require calibra- tion twice a year.
From CO3800 sensors brought back from car parks after 12 to 18 months, we have found the shift in calibration of only 0.5 to 1.5 ppm. It is rec- ommended to use multicore screened cables when installing these sensors.
