  THREE HIT TRAINING GOLD
                         THREE MORE BUSINESSES HAVE ACHIEVED
I-CAR Gold: Cambro Motors, Victoria, Power Smash Repairs and Fix Auto in New South Wales.
Giulio Saraullo, director of Suncorp repairer Cambro Motors said: “The Road to Gold process was very easy, we opted for the self managed training option. During the Victorian lockdown, our em- ployees had time to participate in flexi- ble online training. The videos followed by questions were helpful for employees to understand and memorise the topic.
“Staff have enjoyed the online training, most of the time I would pair up employ- ees this way so they had the option to dis- cuss the topics. Having the option to go back and check each topic was also help- ful when they struggled with any of the answers. The completion certificates have been well received and have also boosted their confidence,” Saraullo said.
Jason Walsh, owner of Fix Auto North- ern Beaches in Cromer NSW said: “The learning experience with I-CAR was a very positive one and complements the funda-
mental changes we have been through and continue to go through since joining the Fix Auto Network.
"Making sure the productive team had sufficient time to be able to study and learn is always a challenge in small business. The flexibility around virtual classrooms was very useful. We trained out of our pro- duction hours and then made a social occa- sion out of it afterwards. The learning ac- tivities themselves were a real opportunity for the team to bond and an excuse for a couple of beers and something to eat after work is always nice.”
Tommy and Joe Martinovic, directors of Power Smash Repairs in Mittagong NSW said: “We decided to enter the I-CAR Road to Gold program because we thought it would be a good way to maintain and fur- ther our skills with the latest technologies. The online virtual training is an excellent option especially as we are located in a ru- ral area, where the closest major cities are an hour‘s drive away.
“The whole process was very easy. It helped that all training was able to be done from the comfort of our own workshop. The staff particularly en- joyed learning about the new technologies that are coming out on cars such as steel strength and the structure of them. Our refinishers were also involved in the program, receiving product specific train-
