regional competition.

            SHEEN PANEL SERVICE APPRENTICES RE-
cently received professional training from BASF on Glasurit product and processes. This trainin, at Kangan Automotive Centre of Excellence in Melbourne, was led by na- tional head trainer, James Green and Glas- urit trainer Michael Mudford.
The four-day event covered prepara- tion, the importance of choosing the correct grey shade, wet on wet applica- tion, multi-layer application, multi-layer colour reproduction and Glasurit VOC
and non-VOC clearcoats. In the final two days the apprentices competed against each other in a painter shoot out.
The competition winner, Dylan Hoskin from Sheen Mitcham, was awarded a training session at the Glas- urit Refinish Competence Centre in Syd- ney and a DeVilbiss DV1 spray gun.
Sheen Panel Service, known for their commitment to developing staff, are working hard to attract the next genera- tion of painters into the trade.
                           HOGAN HEADS NON-DRIVE
AMA Group has appointed Craig Hogan as executive general manager – non-drive for AMA Group, following Campbell Jones’ resignation from the role.
Hogan joins AMA Group from Illinois Tool Works, where he was the group president – Construction Asia Pacific. He led the group through a transformation and delivered seven years of sustained revenue and profit growth. Supported by his background in consulting, Hogan has a strong track record of strategic planning and execution in industrial and manufacturing businesses including United Technologies’ Carrier HVAC business and HJ Heinz Europe.

the company’s new
Chief Executive Officer
(CEO) as of 1
November, 2022. He
will succeed Thierry Vanlancker, who has been CEO since 2017.
Poux-Guillaume (52), a French national, is an international business leader with 25 years of experience. He has a distinguished track record of building successful, profitable businesses in challenging environments, accelerating business growth and improving margins.
