FIXLINE IS A LEAN REPAIR PROCESS TO REPAIR CARS IN LINE AND RAISE PRODUCTIVITY IN A COLLISION REPAIR BUSINESS.
suitable for safely curing hybrid and electric vehicles.
Technology like this can prove huge- ly beneficial, significantly reducing overall cycle time and allowing techni- cians to handle the vehicle and parts faster in the post refinish stage.
Symach IR DryTronic technology is available across all the products range of the brand. From portable drying lamp DryTron, through the drying robots Fly- Dry, for the preparation bay, and Easy- Dry drying robot for the spray booth, to the drying cabin KombiKing, an entire booth equipped with IR technology.
The combination of an IR equipped spray booth and a IR working drying booth can facilitate a 16-20 jobs-per-day target, if correctly included in the right layout. Symach also offers a range of products to cure UV paints.
Symach equipment is installed all over the world. Gino’s Panel & Paint in WA, equipped their shop with Symach FixLine a few years ago, and the busi- ness has grown so much that a second facility opens in 2022 equipped with the latest Symach equipment. Symach has also installed a FixLine system at TAMMS Repair Centre in Sunshine North, VIC and a second system at prestige repairer Peter Wilkinson & Co. in WA.

of primer application, mask- ing, painting, drying, unmask- ing and polishing all in line, using the CarMover system to move the cars from one phase of the re-
pair process to the next.
Every FixLine layout is customised
based on the available workshop space, the mix of work a shop undertakes and the number of repairs per day that the customer is targeting.
The new layout of the shop reflects the modifications that are needed in the workflow to reach the repairers’ target volume of vehicle repairs.
Symach provides information and sup- port for the customer at each step in the project and prepares the business plan of the investment, along with the list and lay- out of the necessary equipment.
Once the layout is agreed, the final equipment selection is made. All the equipment, from the spray booths and the drying booths, to the paint mixing room, the lights and all accessories, are designed and produced at the Symach factory in Bo- logna, Italy, shipped and installed all over the world directly by the company.
Symach provides the detailed CAD drawings for the equipment layout, the civ-
il works details, with plans for electrical, gas, compressed air and HVAC require- ments. It follows the construction works re- motely by video meetings with the custom- er’s contractors and engineers, to support them with any information they need.
Once the installation of equipment is complete, Symach provides the training on the use and maintenance of the
