LAND 125 PHASE 4
Land 125 Phase 4 is a $1 billion project that will moder- nise aspects of the SCS subsystems: situational awareness, survivability, mobility, sustainability, and training and edu- cation/human performance. The program comprises three Tranches of work over the next 12 years.
The Integrated Soldier System (ISS) capabilities will be networked at platoon commander level, and below. Key to this realisation is a network that enables machines, sensors and people to cooperate through voice and data.
Soldier Platform Capabilities will include:
• Protective systems for engagement and environmental
threats, including in-water emergencies
• Load carriage systems
• Power management system
• Data management
system
• Signature management
• Translation system Robotics and Autonomous Platform (RAP) capabilities will include:
• Load carriage systems
• Intelligence, Surveillance
and Reconnaissance
(ISR) systems
• Force protection
• Enhanced capabilities

• Continuous improvement and enhancement of the ISS
• Health and performance monitoring
• Immersive simulation at the small team level
Defence is seeking an industry partner to provide prime vendor services to deliver a digitised ISS that will work with a number of SMEs and subcontractors to fulfil the requirement. An industry briefing in June saw the release of the collaboration list, now available on AusTender, that lists over 200 companies that are interested in the various phases of the program.
