DECO AUSTRALIA ACHIEVES INTERNATIONAL QUALITY STANDARD ISO 9001

AUSTRALIAN provider of protective coat- ings DECO Australia have achieved a business-wide ISO 9001 accreditation. The NSW company, who offer a range of surface finishing technologies to the defence industry, were accredited by ac- claimed certification body DNV-GL.
ISO 9001, the international standard for quality management, guarantees a compa- ny’s effective process control, compliance and ability to deliver consistent quality – at- tributes which are valuable to the defence industry. An ISO 9001 accredited supplier offers defence contractors peace of mind
that they are receiving reliable services, geared to meet their project requirements.
“This ISO 9001 accreditation positions us as a certified supplier for key industries includ- ing defence,” DECO Director Ross Doonan said. “The glowing results of our audit show how efficiently we are meeting our customers’ needs – we can confidently guarantee quality services and finishes every time.”
DECO aims to cement its position as a reliable supplier for defence primes and subcontractors. Applying protective coat- ings to weaponry and machine parts can be instrumental in their upkeep, adding an extra layer of protection against corrosion, chemical attack, impact and general wear. Coating new components, or refinishing
and restoring old components can reduce time and costs required to maintain criti- cal machinery, including the time taken to source new parts from overseas. Using an ISO 9001 accredited provider guarantees coatings which meet strict criteria for lon- gevity and durability.
DECO Australia are a member of AIDN NSW. Their capabilities include hard anodising, powder coating, ceramic coating and custom finishes for special- ist applications.
