  NEW VANS LOADED WITH ADAS
THERE HAS BEEN A RAFT OF NEW VANS LAUNCHED IN AUSTRALIA RECENTLY AND THEY ARE ALL BRISTLING WITH SAFETY TECHNOLOGY. THERE’S
A NEW VITO, A NEW VW TRANSPORT RANGE, AN UPDATED VITO, A NEW LDV LAUNCHED AND A NEW HYUNDAI ILOAD POSSIBLY ARRIVING THIS YEAR.
UPDATED VITO RANGE
The Mercedes-Benz Vito has been exten- sively updated. Highlights include more standard safety features and new assis- tance systems as well as a new look.
New safety and assistance systems include Active Brake Assist, DIS- TRONIC and the digital inside rear- view mirror that are available on Vito for the first time. Active Brake Assist is standard across the entire range and with it the previous options Blind
Spot Assist and Lane Keeping Assist are now also included as standard. This builds on standard safety fea- tures already included like Crosswind Assist, Attention Assist and the full complement of airbags.
The digital inside rearview mirror transmits the image from the HDR cam- era in the rear window to the mirror's display, which can be used in the same way as a conventional, visual inside rearview mirror – even if the boot or load compartment are full to the roof.
LDV DELIVER 9
The all-new Deliver 9, LDV’s new com- mercial contender which it says sets fresh benchmarks in the 3.5-8.0-tonne
commercial vehicle segment.
All Deliver 9s come with a plethora of
safety and convenience features as standard.
Autonomous Emergency Braking, Bosch’s latest generation Electronic Stability Control system, Lane Departure Warning, and the full gamut of airbags.
There’s also Adaptive Cruise Control (on auto transmissions) and reverse parking sensors,
A $1,500 Option Pack, which adds 236° rear opening doors, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, and keyless entry.
The target audience of the all-new De- liver 9 is clear: sole traders, SMEs, na- tionally recognised delivery companies and corporate fleets. It is expected that these business groups will make up over 90% of sales.
“The all-new LDV Deliver 9 wins on three key product truths,” an LDV spokesperson said. “It carries more for less, it’s loaded with technology and safe- ty, and it’s the segment price leader.”
