 AUTEL’S TOTAL SOLUTION
                     THE AUTEL MAXISYS IA900WA WHEEL
alignment and ADAS calibration unit is an impressively clever piece of kit. We had the opportunity of a demonstration at the re- cent Collision Repair Expo and we weren’t the only ones to be impressed. The product took out the Most Innovative New Servic- ing Product (Tools & Equipment) award at the AAAA Awards.
The unit is a hardware two-in-one solu- tion: ADAS calibration plus wheel align- ment, with a professional diagnostic plat- form. The system seems to be substantially less expensive than buying a wheel alignment and ADAS system sepa- rately.
One of the most impressive aspects of the design is its dainty footprint. From what we saw, it will fit in nicely to one generously sized bay. Plus, the cameras can compen- sate if the floor isn’t totally even.
While you can’t call any system fool- proof it does look really easy to use with videos and stack of step by step instruc- tions with illustrations to help the techni-
cian every step of the way.
It has precise optical measurement
with six high resolution cameras that are self calibrating, so that they are accurate every time. These cameras automatically track vehicle height on the lift. There’s also robotic frame movement to position boards for different vehicle models.
There’s a 24 inch touchscreen monitor that can swivel towards the vehicle or on the other side of the calibration and align- ment unit, plus a large, easy to read Maxi SYS Ultra Tablet Cradle with controls. Both the touchscreen and Ultra tablet can man- age the software, which makes the tools user friendly.
The cameras automatically track the height of the wheel
targets on the lift. The
wheel alignment software
ensures inspection of tyres,
brakes, suspension, steering and more and allows you to attach pho- tos and notes. There’s a live align- ment reading display that turns from
orange to green when the alignment is complete. Unlike Autel’s previous ADAS system, you could finish tuning on the frame with just one step; with the previous product, customers had to lean down to handle the lever.
To further shrink the unit— and to stop people walking into the crossbars — the crossbars fold down and lock, and the built in cable management means there isn’t a snake pit of wires on the ground.

    TEXA SOLUTIONS
TEXA was recent awarded the prestigious Grand Prix de l’equipment award in Paris for the most innovative diagnostic tool - the RCCS3 calibration system with monitor - in the world of workshop equipment.
As many as 36 brands participated with their solutions and were evaluated by a jury of experts composed of representa- tives of the main distribution brands.
While the insurance, and the repair in- dustry struggle to solve the issue of in- creasing costs and complexity of repair due, the motorist is often left with im- properly repaired vehicles due to a lack of knowledge and a reluctance to approve increased costs by these industries.
TEXA believes it is vital the correct systems are being used to calibrate ADAS systems to ensure the safety of the motorist and is at the forefront of provid- ing a solution to this modern issue.

IN THE WORLD OF AUTOMOTIVE DIAG-
nostics ADAS calibration has become the major concern of all stakeholders in the vehicle repair industry.
This includes insurance companies, smash shops, mechanical shops, auto
electrical businesses and and autoglass technicians.
TEXA solutions help you restore ADAS functions with maximum preci- sion according to vehicle manufacturer’s own standards. You can perform static and dynamic calibration, and enjoy a
better car and truck coverage than other market solutions.
The software guides the technician step by step throughout the procedures thanks to dedicated help data sheets spe- cifically developed for each vehicle. They cover all aspects of camera and radar calibrations including front, rear, blind spot, 360 for car, truck, motorcycle, ma- rine and off-road.
All of TEXA’s systems have been independently tested and approved by TUV
Rhineland to meet all OEM requirements related to carrying out the calibrations.
