• Forstartersyoushouldhave BMW approval and training. Now there are reams of data, factory times, instructions and precise methods for every aspect of the repair. You need BMW dealer diagnostics and recalibration, accurate measuring systems and an aluminium work area. Welding is minimal compared with a damaged E30. You need to know about adhesives and invest in sophisticated riveting equipment. A clean, modern paintshop is also essential. A thorough understanding of all of the safety systems and how each module interacts with others is also essential.
