Daikin’s new base of operations in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Headquarters support regional growth plans
DAIKIN, HAS RELOCATED THE HEAD OFFICE FOR THE COMPANY’S MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA DIVISION, IN LINE WITH EXPANSION PLANS FOR THE REGION.
LOCATED IN JAFZA-DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (UAE), the facility will be the base of operations for 250 staff members.
The new facility is situated on 22,000 sqm of land, with the building and warehouse amounting to 7,500 sqm, and combines the Training Academy, AHU Factory and flagship experience centre.
The office also features an array of new tech-
nological HVAC innovations including a chiller system, smart VRV system, along with AHU, FCU & BMS systems.
Tuna Gulenc, Vice President-Sales at Daikin MEA, said: “The opening of this brand-new facil- ity reaffirms our commitment for long-term business expansion, and emphasizes to the mar- ket that we believe in both the growth potential of the MEA region and vision of the UAE.”
It is 13 years since Daikin’s first office was es- tablished in the UAE. The business has grown from $US30 million to exceed $300 million in the MEA region.
Since then the small office has grown to be- come MEA Headquarters with sales, service, lo- gistics and manufacturing operations. Daikin MEA has since evolved to employ more than 400 people from just 10 originally.
China plant to focus on R&D THE CAREL GROUP has officially opened its
new plant in the Suzhou district of China.
The new plant has been created to strength- en production for the Chinese market and to consolidate the Group’s presence in the Asia-
Pacific region.
A significant part of the 15,000 square metre
complex will be dedicated to R&D with the in- novation laboratory used to develop new tech- nologies.
Around 50 staff will be working in the re- search centre developing technologically ad- vanced solutions for CAREL customers in China and throughout the APAC region. ✺

New CEO
for Eastern
Europe
THE FORMER MANAGING director of CAREL Central and Southern Europe, Mirco Cauz, has been appointed to the role of regional CEO for Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Cauz will be reporting directly to CAREL Group CEO, Francesco Nalini.
In this new regional role, the managing directors of CAREL in Russia, Poland, the Middle East, Ukraine, South Africa and the central and southern Europe subsidi- aries will all report to Cauz.
“It is an honour for me to be appointed to this prestigious position in a growing group such as CAREL”, Cauz said.
Former business development manag- er for Turkey and West Asia, Marco Gal- luppi, has moved into the position of man- aging director of CAREL Central and Southern Europe.
