Chiller Feature
Bigger capacity, smaller footprint
ENGIE REFRIGERATION GMBH has launched its new air-cooled QUANTUM Air chiller series.
In total, there are 28 versions of the new series. The company said 14 of these models use the re- frigerant R-1234ze, and 14 models use either the refrigerant R-134a or R-513A.
The new air-cooled QUANTUM Air has much higher levels of efficiency, this has been achieved through intelligent connections between the dif- ferent components.
Second, the QUANTUM Air makes more effi- cient use of operating fluids, as the refrigerant fill level has been reduced significantly.
The size of the chiller has also been reduced without affecting its performance.
QUANTUM Air achieves a refrigeration ca- pacity of between 250 kilowatts and two mega- watts for the first time. This means the chiller outperforms not only its predecessor model, but all air-cooled chillers with magnetic-bear- ing compressor technology that are currently available on the market.
Another special feature is its modified control system, which facilitates improved control and regulation options that are optimised in terms of energy efficiency.
Furthermore, it enables even better adaptation to customer-specific cooling requirements at every op- erating point and at different ambient temperatures.
Each model offers the optional Supersilent package, which incorporates additional noise- reducing measures – an essential aspect, espe- cially for noise-sensitive applications in hospi- tals or office buildings, for example.
If needed, customers can also choose precon- figured hydraulic modules – i.e. pump units with a frequency converter – and integrated free cool- ing modules for free cooling, mixed mode or compression mode.
QUANTUM Air achieves a refrigeration capacity of two megawatts.
Exclusive debut for Freddox
BEIJER REF HAS introduced Fred- dox a new exclusive label to the HVACR market.
Freddox will be exclusively dis- tributed throughout all Beijer Ref businesses, including both the Kir- by and Beijer Ref Australia net- works across Australia.
The Freddox brand will mark a va- riety of HVACR installation and parts lines with the initial release in Aus- tralia to include fire rated pair coil and standard pair coil.
Beijer Ref is committed to work- ing with supply partners that bring
operational excellence to the HVACR industry to provide unsur- passed value, convenience and confidence for its customers.
All products distributed under the Freddox brand across Australia and New Zealand are designed and man- ufactured to the relevant Australian and NZ Standards.
Freddox fire rated pair coil is rated to AS/NZS 1530.3 for BCA Class 2-9 and is R410A and R32 compliant.
Contact your Kirby or Beijer Ref Australia branch for more details.
