Profit after tax fell to $588 million in the year to June 30 from $681 million.

AMA’S FIVE YEAR RACQ CONTRACT
AMA Group has entered into a new five year supply agreement with RACQ.
"This agreement will result in two additional Greenfield sites being constructed in Queensland which will have a material impact on revenue being generated from the company’s Queensland panel division once the sites are fully operational," said group CEO Andy Hopkins.
ALOHA FOR CHARMAINE WOODLEY
Sherwin-Williams automotive Finishes has announced the winner of its “Ultimate Hawaiian Adventure” competition, Charmaine Woodley.
The competition called for entrants to answer questions which showcased the Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes line of products. Each week a new question was released and provided entrants with a new opportunity to enter. The competition had a strong response, with dozens of entries each week.
After three months and hundreds of entries, Sherwin-Williams was pleased to announce Charmaine Woodley from Woodley’s Car Workz in WA as the winner.
S.M.A.R.T AND ACM SALES
According to the Financial Review’s Street Talk column the final hammer for Capital S.M.A.R.T falls on 27 September. Potential buyers are said to include: AMA Group; Jim Vais/Quadrant Private Equity; and international glass giant Belron. There is speculation that Fix Auto was in the running but has withdrawn.
The newspaper also reported that Suncorp has formally hired Deloitte Corporate Finance to oversee a strategic review for of ACM Parts, which will consider a number of options including selling the business in its entirety.
