GAME CHANGERS
TO RUN A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS, YOU NEED TO STAY AHEAD OF THE CURVE. PAINT & PANEL L!VE WILL GIVE YOU THAT ADVANTAGE WHILE YOU HEAR FROM AND MEET A RANGE OF EXPERTS AND INDUSTRY GAME CHANGERS EXAMINING THE LATEST TRENDS THAT AFFECT EVERYONE INVOLVED IN AUTOBODY REPAIR.
We’ll have a live link up with Andrew Marsh of Ezi Methods and Auto Industry Consulting in the UK discussing the chal- lenges car makers are engineering for re- pairers and how to ensure your business isn’t adversely affected by them.
Mark Hadaway, former editor of UK Bodyshop Magazine is interviewing UK industry game changers, while Kristen Felder of Collision Hub has her pulse on every development in the US industry and she’ll be introducing us to some for- ward-think American repairers.
ELECTRIC DREAMS
With the charging infrastructure final- ly underway in Australia and a slew on mainstream electric cars being launched here over the next couple of years, the much heralded era of the electric car is slowly starting to dawn. We look at what you need to know in terms of technology and repair proce- dures for both hybrid and hybrid elec- tric cars and how soon will you have to train and gear up.
OUR OWN GAME CHANGERS
We’ll finish up hearing from repairers and industry players who have adopted game changing strategies.
Taking time away from your business to learn and network with others will mean you to return to it refreshed and inspired to implement changes – that’s the feed- back we receive from L!VE every year.
HE HALF DAY CONFERENCE
takes place on the same date as the Paint & Panel Bodyshop Awards night of nights, on 11 October at the Melbourne Arts Cen- tre. Tickets are available for both events
on the Paint & Panel website.
TOMORROW’S TECHNOLOGY TODAY
Brian Hill from Verisk, a global data analytic company that advises the in- surance industry, will be telling us about how artificial intelligence is be- ing used to identify vehicle damage at the scene of the accident to determine if it is a total loss or should be towed to a repair facility.
ADAS has had a massive impact on both repair procedures and cycle
times. We examine both best practice and the best strategies to minimise production disruption.
Millennials are going to be the big- gest group of consumers from 2025. This is one of the biggest industry game changers because their customer expe- rience expectations are different to pre- vious generations, we examine what strategies and platforms businesses need to put in place to gain their busi- ness. They are also going to be the bulk of the workforce by 2025 and we’ll be hearing how to attract and keep Mil- lennial employees. A panel made up of Millennials from our industry will dis- cuss whether the Australian vehicle re- pair industry is ready to meet Millen- nial expectations.
