Audi Approved Panel Repairer Training.
The first two rounds of Audi Body Technicians have successfully completed the Audi Approved Repairer - Certified Steel Body Technician training program in Sydney Australia. This new program provides an industry leading development pathway for body technicians, using a state of the art training
centre, as well as providing a local cost-effective training and certification program for the
Audi Approved Repairer network.
Technicians from the Audi Approved Repairer network who enrol on the new body training pathway are first given access to Audi’s own online training platform where several web based trainings and service TV programs are required to be completed prior to the face to face training event. Once all pre requisites are met, the face to face training can be attended, each body technician must then perform a steel welding certification, followed by steel outer skin and structural repairs to Audi
specifications using Audi Genuine parts and Audi approved repair methods and tooling. A key focus during the practical exercises is the correct use of Audi approved anti-corrosion protection and chemical substances to ensure the repairs longevity and the Audi 12 year corrosion warranty against body perforation is maintained.
Upon completion of the program, technicians receive joint certifications from Audi and I-CAR Platinum Individual, which supports the Audi Approved Repairers to fulfil the requirement of becoming an I-CAR Gold Class repairer.
“This partnership not only provides the individual body technicians with the best platform to improve their knowledge and skills, but it supports our Audi Approved Repairer network with a sophisticated program that ensures our team is equipped with skills required to look after our customers and lead the industry,” said Jerome Figuiere, Aftersales Director at Audi Australia.
