Mending Fishing Nets. Photographed in Vietnam, this photo uses figure to ground through colour contrast. The subjects are differentiated from the background through colour tones more so than light and dark tones, although the boy’s face is much brighter than the nets beneath him which helps him to stand out. Nikon D800, 24-70mm f/2.8 lens @ 27mm. 1/1250s @ f4.5, ISO 640.
