 THE TOYOTA DIFFERENCE
WHETHER A TOYOTA VEHICLE NEEDS RE-
placement parts following a collision or during a service and maintenance, it is essential that only Toyota Genuine Parts sourced from authorised Toyota Dealers are fitted.
Toyota Genuine Parts are designed and developed specifically for Toyota ve- hicles. All Toyota Genuine Parts and Ac- cessories are manufactured with strin- gent quality standards.
Sourcing parts outside of Toyota Australia’s authorised dealership net- work may increase the chances of be- ing exposed to counterfeit products. To be sure you are purchasing Toyota Genuine Parts that are made from ex- acting standards, always visit a local Toyota Dealership.
The use of non-genuine parts may af- fect the warranty of a vehicle in the event of a failure attributed to a non-gen- uine part, such as aftermarket or an imi- tation part, which may not be covered by Toyota Australia’s warranty.
All Toyota Genuine Parts purchased over the counter from an authorised Toyota dealer are warranted for the re- mainder of that vehicle’s Toyota Warran- ty Advantage period, or 2yrs from instal- lation (whichever is greater).
Counterfeit car parts and accessories can be extremely dangerous and pose significant risks to the safety of drivers, passengers and vehicle performance. For example, in an accident, counterfeit crash parts may affect crumple zones and airbags, putting lives at risk.
Which one is the genuine part? The only way to be sure is to order from a Toyota dealership.
 VOLKSWAGEN NETWORK GROWS
                     WHILE SHOWROOMS ARE SUBJECT TO
the strictures of periodical COVID-19 lockdowns and global shortages of micro- processors bite into new vehicle supply of most auto brands, Volkswagen Group Australia (VGA) is forging ahead with its national Approved Repairer Program.
In fact, VGA’s three parts warehouses - in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth have never been busier with 50,000 part lines available in stock for sale. At the time of writing, inbound shipments for July were expected to reach a record level.
That’s good news for the 30 approved repairers that are currently part of VGA’s
Approved Repairer Program. Natalie Armstrong, VGA’s group parts - program & product manager, says the main hur- dle posed by the persistent pandemic is conducting the brand’s benchmark training courses.
“The new Essendon Fields training centre near Melbourne and the group’s Chullora headquarters in Sydney have both been periodically closed in recent months, so that’s not ideal,” Armstrong says. “That said, the Group is unstinting in implementing quality standards and upgrades to the national Approved Re- pairer Program.
Already consisting of Volkswagen and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, VGA has also been joined this year by VW Group luxury brand Audi and the Span- ish performance and lifestyle marque CUPRA. The merger with Audi will be implemented in the New Year with the first CUPRAs coming online in mid-2022.
VGA’s aftersales and its training divi- sions are already operating as a merged entity with Audi Australia. From Au- gust, VGA’s Approved Repairers will have a new look to compliment the uni- fied operations with a new signage.
Volkswagen Group is set on becoming the world leader in affordable zero emis- sion personal mobility.
“While New South Wales has adopted a world class EV strategy, markets that have hard and fast Co2 targets are natu- rally prioritised for EV production,’ says VGA’s EV and sustainability manager Kurt McGuiness. “Even so, we’re forging ahead with plans to prepare our dealer network and in due course, our ap- proved repairers for the revolution that will be the mass introduction of EV’s”.
Pandemic conditions have interrupted VGA’s industry-leading training program for its network of approved repairers.
