  Bosch invests in 12-hectare campus
BOSCH HAS COMMENCED construction of a $17 million facility in Clayton, Victoria.
The facility is part of a five year project to con- solidate all of Bosch’s Victorian businesses into its 12-hectare Clayton campus.
The new building will comprise 4156m2 of in- dustrial space and workshops, 896m2 of offices, amenities and laboratories, and a further 833m2 for truck and service areas. It will be completed in October 2020.

SWEDISH CLEAN AIR solutions manufactur- er, Camfil AB has announced the acquisition of Airepure, Australia.
Camfil said the acquisition will strengthen its global position and benefit customers in Aus- tralia and New Zealand.
Camfil Group Asia Pacific president, Alan O’Connell, said Airepure has a strong offering to customers and is a well-run operation with strong capabilities in key areas like testing ser- vices, R&D, engineering and customer service.
“We look forward to joining forces with their team of talented and competent people” he said. Airepure Australia holds a robust position in the local air filtration industry providing a broad range of solutions from basic HVAC filtration to high end HEPA/ULPA filtration and airborne containment technologies along with NATA
testing services.
Airepure was part of Elta Group, UK since 2011
and has offices in all the major cities in Australia including Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Towns- ville, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart with over 70 em- ployees working in the Melbourne headquarters.

With the support of the Victorian Govern- ment, the new building brings with it a commit- ment to create at least 35 new jobs over the next four years.
The facility will be home to Bosch’s Manufac- turing Solutions and Rexroth businesses.
As the volume of locally produced cars sharply declined the local Bosch manufacturing activi- ties had to be restructured which led to highly skilled staff being redeployed.
Fortunately, the Manufacturing Solutions di- vision has established itself as a trusted supplier to the Australian manufacturing sector and con- tinues to grow.
Bosch Australia president, Gavin Smith, said the entire team is flying.
“Manufacturing is very much alive in Austral- ia, and we are excited to be at the forefront of it,” he said.

the acquisition and said it was an opportunity to combine the best of Airepure and Camfil’s peo- ple, products and custom engineered solutions to provide quality, purpose built clean air solu- tions for the Australian market.
“Both businesses complement each other, and we look forward to embracing the wealth of op- portunity ahead,” Van Oosten said.
Market analysts are projecting an increase in indoor air pollution levels and rising cases of health issues related to airborne allergens across Australia.
The Commonwealth Scientific Research Or- ganization (CSIRO) estimates that the cost of poor indoor air quality in Australia may be as high as $12 billion per year.

DEAL STRENGTHENS MTA
European-based chiller manufacturer and supplier, MTA, has been acquired by private investment company, Chequers Capital.
Covering a cooling capacity range between 1.8 to 1943 kWr with cooling only to reversible heat pump configurations, the product range includes purpose built laser chillers, covering both air and water cooled condenser configurations, with high efficiency and low noise options.
MTA Australasia has been operating in Australia for over 20 years.
Chequers Capital is one of the leading European investors in private, mid-sized companies, with funds worth around €2.5bn ($A4.5bn) under management.
