 YORK ACOUSTICAL
HOW IT’S MADE
Using state-of-the-art manufacturing here in the United States, our acoustical collection of sound absorbing wallcovering utilizes 100% post consumer BPA-free recycled plastic drinking bottles to create a beautiful visual and auditory room experience.
MADE FROM 100% RECYCLED PLASTIC DRINKING BOTTLES.
Plastic PET containers are picked up at curb-side and community recycling centers, and then sorted by type and color.
They are stripped of their labels and caps, washed, and crushed, then chopped into flake.
These tiny pieces are melted and extruded to create fiber. The fiber produced is crimped, cut, drawn and stretched into desired length for strength, then baled.
The baled fiber can be processed into fabric for a variety of textile product end uses.
               CREATED WITH
NO PVC (polyvinyl chloride)
NO VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) NO ODS’s (ozone depleting substances) NO Heavy Metals or Formaldehyde
ANTIMICROBIAL
TECHNOLOGY
Incorporating silver and copper ions into the fiber which naturally attack microbes thus delivering surface protection in addition to odor, mold, and bacteria resistance.
This antimicrobial technology makes the perfect solution for healthcare, living, and workspaces with the added benefit of noise mitigation and visual beauty.
NRC RATINGS WHY IS NRC IMPORTANT?
The perfect balance of ambient noise and sound absorption gives an audible sense of normal sound within an enclosed space, making hearing and communication comfortable and natural.
WHAT IS NRC?
NRC stands for noise reduction coefficient and is the standard rating for how well a material absorbs sound. Different materials have different NRC ratings that range from 0.00-1.00.
TYPICALLY, THE NRC RATING OF A MATERIAL IS VIEWED AS A PERCENTAGE.
For example, an NRC rating of .25 means 25% of the sound energy coming in contact with that specific material is absorbed. Simply put, the sound is not reflected back into the room to create noise.
