• The main reason why so many disabled people are in low-income households is a result of their high levels of unemployment. 28
• Three-quarters of households using food banks contain someone with a health condition and/or disability, with one-third of households containing someone with a mental health issue. 29
• After housing costs, the proportion of working age disabled people living in poverty (28%) is higher than the proportion of working age non-disabled people (18%). 30
