Home SELLER Checklist
ASSESS YOUR SITUATION
Before you list your home consider having a home inspection. You will have the opportunity to learn if there are any major repairs needed and can address them prior to your house going on the market.
PAINT
Unusual paint colors are a deterrent to most house hunters. Neutral colors are restful to the eye and appeal to the greatest number of buyers.
FLOORING
The condition of your  oors will a ect the homes perceived value. Buyers want a home that is move-in ready and  ooring is one of the most attractive features for buyers.
UPDATES & REPAIRS
Take an unbiased look at your house to determine what updates and repairs are necessary. Consider both the exterior and interior to improve the overall presentation of your home.
FURNITURE PLACEMENT & LIGHTING
Think about how the buyers will walk through each room and ensure there is plenty of space to move freely. Keep lights on and curtains open during open houses and showings.
AIR QUALITY/ODOR/PETS
If you have pets it’s essential to remove their scent and often times candles or air fresheners aren’t going to do the trick. Get an outside opinion on the presence of odors as most times you’ve grown immune to them.
DEPERSONALIZING
Removing your personality allows buyers to visualize how their personality will work in your house. Make your home as close to a blank canvas as possible.
