Anthony Bajak
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Anthony Bajak puts over 20 years of hospital manage-
ment experience into practice in his role as Chief
Operating Officer at Good Samaritan Medical Center. In
addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the
hospital, he provides management oversight for the
development of high-quality, cost-effective clinical pro-
grams and works to improve patient experience.
Bajak started at Tenet Healthcare in 2008 and less than
a year later, he was promoted from Director of Business
Development/Associate Administrator at Palm Beach
Gardens Medical Center to Director of Business
Development for Tenet’s Palm Beach market, comprised
of five hospitals. In this role, Bajak provided leadership,
oversight, mentorship and evaluation of the business
development teams at each hospital.
Bajak is a member of the advisory board for the Floridian Community Bank and a
member of the board of directors for Ignatianum America. He received his Bachelor
of Arts from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA.
WEST BOCA MEDICAL CENTER
Amy Buzzelli,
RN, CPHRM, LHRM
DIRECTOR, RISK MANAGEMENT
As Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety
Officer at West Boca Medical Center, Amy Buzzelli is
responsible for complying with and revising risk man-
agement policies and procedures and reviewing and
investigating occurrence reports. She also works with
the Defense Counsel to manage litigation.
Buzzelli was promoted to this role after gaining more
than three years of experience as the Clinical Risk
Manager at sister hospital, Delray Medical Center. Buzzelli’s extensive nursing expe-
rience supports her work as a patient safety officer, working with patients directly and mation management and a Bachelor’s Degree in organizational management from Indian
assisting them with their grievances. She is a licensed healthcare risk manager and
certified professional in healthcare risk management.

William J. Gruitza
COMPLIANCE OFFICER
William J. Gruitza manages the implementation of
Tenet’s Ethics and Compliance program for two Tenet
Florida hospitals – Delray Medical Center and West
Boca Medical Center. His primary role as the compliance
and privacy officer is to monitor all hospital operations,
implementing the designed policies and procedures and
ensuring compliance with state and federal healthcare
requirements.
Prior to his tenure with Tenet, Gruitza served as a law
clerk with the University of Pennsylvania’s Office of
General Counsel. At Penn he assisted the Office of
Corporate Alliances in connection with the Hospital of the University of
Pennsylvania and Penn Medicine. He also previously worked as an associate attorney,
specializing in HIPAA/HITECH policy and procedural development.
Gruitza earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Indiana University of
Pennsylvania, and then furthered his education at Drexel University’s Earle Mack
School of Law, located in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated with honors, earning his
Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Health Law. Gruitza is a member of the Drexel
Health Law Society, as well as the Florida bar and American Health Lawyers
Association.

Maria Colby
MANAGER OF CORPORATE PLANNING
When Maria Colby joined Martin Health System three
years ago, she brought with her 20 years of experience in
finance, taxation, risk management and internal audit –
along with a strong desire to help others and make an
impact in her own community.
An alumnus of the University of Miami, Colby earned a
Bachelor of Accounting degree and a Masters in
Accounting/Tax before earning her license as a Florida
Certified Public Accountant.
She enjoys the collaborative nature of her work as man-
ager of corporate planning, developing frameworks for
growth and profitability as she provides market and financial analyses, feasibility studies,
physician need assessments and financial forecasting – all for the long-term betterment
of the hospital and those it serves.
“Strategic decision-making and planning is critical to meet the challenges of a con-
stantly evolving health care environment and remain responsive to meet the needs of our
community,” she said.
Patricia Bonnie
CORPORATE COMPLIANCE MANAGER
For the past nine years of her 15-year career at Martin
Health System, Patricia Bonnie has worked in the
Corporate Compliance Department. Patricia is currently
the Corporate Compliance Manager at Martin Health
System and is responsible for oversight of HIPAA compli-
ance. In this role she provides privacy education and
awareness, manages risk assessments and investigates pri-
vacy concerns.
“The regulations that govern hospitals grow more and
more complicated,” Patricia said. “This requires staying
on top of any changes and working closely with every department in our system to make
sure they understand the changes.”
As Patricia’s professional career grew, she obtained an Associate Degree in health infor-
River State College. She also received her certification in healthcare privacy compliance
(CHPC) and healthcare compliance (CHC).
PALM BEACH GARDENS MEDICAL CENTER
Teresa Urquhart
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center Chief Operating
Officer Teresa Urquhart channels more than 30 years of
healthcare experience as she manages the daily opera-
tions of the hospital and oversees the development and
implementation of long-range plans, goals and objec-
tives.
Previously, Urquhart served as the chief operating
officer at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center’s sister
hospital, North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, GA, where
she led the planning, design and construction of an out-
patient pain and spine center, wound care and hyperbar-
ic center and assisted with the expansion of the hospital’s cardiac catheterization lab.
Before moving to Georgia, she was the chief operating officer at another Tenet
Healthcare hospital, Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, SC.
Urquhart received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Records Administration at
Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC, and earned her Master of Arts in
Health Services Administration from Webster University in El Paso, TX.
