We have begun to work with leadership MD
from the City of Fort Lauderdale to develop a
better understanding about the health needs of the people and patients in
the South Florida region. Specifically, we seek to develop a comprehensive
city health development plan that lays out the strategies for addressing the
health objectives of our community, while developing the new college.
My colleagues in NSU’s Health Professions Division are already involved
in assisting our communities, working with our health care partners on
patient education and other initiatives. I invite and encourage you, our
leaders in health care, to join me, NSU and our other partners to learn
specifically what are the major health care issues facing our community and
develop a strong and measurable program to help solve these issues.
By working together, we will reach our goal to improving the health of
our community and the patients we serve.
