ANGELO NARDOLILLO, SR. Founder 1898-1980
Angelo Nardolillo Sr.,
was twenty years younger
than his brother Benny.
He began to work with
his brother until Benny’s
retirement from funeral
service. In 1954, Angelo
Sr. established Nardolillo
Funeral Home, Inc. at its
present location 1278
Park Ave. Cranston. Angelo Sr. owned and operated the Cranston funeral home with his two sons, Robert A. Nardolillo Sr. and Angelo Nardolillo Jr., until his passing in 1980.
ROBERT A. NARDOLILLO, SR. Second Generation 1929-2003
A second generation
owner and operator of
Nardolillo Funeral Home,
Robert Sr. was a graduate
of LaSalle Academy
and attended both
Providence College and
Boston College School of
Law. He was a graduate of
the New England Institute
of Anatomy and Mortuary Science. Robert, Sr. was the CEO of Nardolillo Funeral Homes, Inc., founded by his father Angelo in 1906, and a member of both the Rhode Island Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association until his death in 2003.
ANGELO NARDOLILLO, JR. Second Generation 1932-2013
A second generation owner and operator of Nardolillo Funeral Home, Angelo was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, Class of 1950. After graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School, he
received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1953 from Bryant College. Angelo was a member and Treasurer of the Alpha Theta Chi Fraternity, the Kings Court Alumni Association Society and the Bryant College Alumni Association where in 2003 he received The Loyal Guard award. Upon graduating, he was employed by Providence Union Trust Bank before joining the family business. In 1956 he graduated from the New England Institute of Anatomy and Embalming. Angelo along with his brother Robert A. Nardolillo, Sr. operated the funeral home until his retirement in 1996. He was a dedicated member of the Alpine Country Club for over 50 years, serving on the Board of Directors and Board of Governors of the Alpine Investment Co. He was also a member of the Renaissance Club, life member of the Tri City Elks B.P.O.E. #14, City Hall Athletic Club, and was an Honorary Mayor of Scarborough Beach. “Uncle Al’ will be deeply missed.

from the New England Institute of Anatomy and Mortuary Sciences, Boston, MA class of 1976. He is a lifetime member of the executive board of Directors and Past President of the Rhode Island Funeral Directors Association and Member of the National Funeral Directors Association serving on its policy board. He was a past member of the Rhode Island Medical Examiners Commission and a charter member of the Funeral Ethics Association of America. He completed a course in disaster training at the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, MD sponsored by the National Emergency
