75 acres of natural Beauty and Serenity.
Named for the hills upon which our grounds and facilities are nestled, Somerset Hills Memorial Park and Mausoleum is a not-for- profit organization that provides all faiths and cultures with a place of comfort, peace and reflection during the most difficult time. Somerset Hills is home to a beautifully landscaped, 75-acre memorial park, elegant mausoleum, chapel, Veterans Memorial, urn gardens, and modern crematory. You have the flexibility to create and customize your services based on your wishes and budget.
There is no more beautiful setting for a traditional ground burial than the mature trees and lush green lawns of Somerset Hills. Because we have so much land, you have the freedom to choose your final resting place, whether you prefer to be on a hillside, under a special tree, or near the American flag or a monument.
Because a memorial park uses bronze markers set into the ground rather than headstones, many people who drive by Somerset Hills don’t realize just how large our cemetery is. We have plenty of room across our well-maintained grounds to accommodate family plots of up to four graves. With more families spread out across different parts of the country, our memorial park makes it possible to preserve your family heritage and bring everyone back together to one final resting place.
In addition to thousands of bronze markers, we have large monuments throughout the memorial park, including our Veterans Memorial and a large open bible. For those who are considering cremation but prefer an outdoor setting, we’ve created lovely urn gardens with seating for visitors, surrounded by finely manicured landscaping.
all Faiths. all Cultures equal respect.
Somerset Hills Memorial Park and Mausoleum is a non-denominational, non-sectarian lot owners association that welcomes people from all walks of life. All requests, from flowers and music to special ceremonies, will be accommodated to the best of our abilities. Regardless of your religion, culture, customs or belief system, you will be treated with dignity and respect, and those you leave behind will always feel welcome.
Mausoleum – a Peaceful, elegant Place to Celebrate life
The mausoleum at Somerset Hills is filled with warmth and serenity, where all are welcome to gather and share fond memories. With fine Italian marble, polished granite, stained glass, handcrafted mosaics, and a sunlit balcony that overlooks our beautiful grounds, we’ve gone to great lengths to create an elegant, uplifting environment that makes you smile, even as tears are shed.
Families and friends are encouraged to visit the mausoleum and enjoy uninterrupted time of quiet reflection. Visitors often bring flowers, photos, family heirlooms, or the family dog to honor and remember their loved ones. The chapel within our mausoleum seats up to 60 and can be used after church or funeral home services for a final farewell, with the flowers, music, photos, and religious and cultural ceremonies of your choosing. The chapel is available at the time of entombment, while future anniversary and memorial services may be held in the chapel for a small fee.
The mausoleum has crypts and niches for one or two caskets or urns. You may also choose from our outdoor crypts and niches with granite, bronze and mosaic fronts, where you can enjoy bright flowers, shade trees, a soothing urn fountain, and the serenity of nature.
