Many injuries occur in the adult
athlete due to improper warm-
up and cool down before and
after participating in sporting
activities.
In the competitive adult it is
crucial that a pre-sport activity
warm-up is performed before
and a cool down after the
activity is finished. Some of
the common ailments that can be avoided by
performing these routines are:


• Achilles tendon strains and ruptures
• Lower extremity muscle strains
• Tendonitis
• Joint soreness
