Elephant and Zebra carpets
Namibia has a rich culture from both Europe and
Africa, inspiration is drawn from the two conti-
nents alike. They meet in the AFRICAN KIRIKA-
RA Art weaving studios. Drawing from these re-
sources, our master weavers create beautiful shapes
and forms, like those seen in the carpets ‚Elephants‘
and ‚Zebra‘.
Elefant und Zebra Teppiche
Zwei Welten – eine Sprache: Harmonie. Namibia – das
war einmal dramatisches Aufeinandertreffen von Eur-
opa und Afrika. Heute begegnen sich in der AFRICAN
KIRIKARA Weberei Inspirationen beider Kontinente.
Aus der Entwicklung der Kulturen werden einfache
Formen abgeleitet oder wiederentdeckt – geometrisch,
grafisch, klar, in Harmonie – wie diese „Elefanten“und
„Zebra“ Teppiche.
