Apprentice to designer
The AFRICAN KIRIKARA weavers look out for talented young people to recom-
mend for a two to three year apprenticeship and assist them in their training. In 1989
one of the first apprentices to join from the North of Namibia was Abed Angombe.
Today he is a master weaver and is training our youngest team members Theofelus
Nanyemba and Simon Enkali.
Vom Lehrling zum Designer
Auch in Namibia fällt kein Meister vom Himmel. Als einer der ersten Lehrlinge kam 1989
Abed Angombe aus dem Norden Namibias ins Atelier. Heute ist er selbst Meisterweber und
bildet unsere jüngsten Teammitglieder, Theofelus Nanyemba und Simon Enkali mit aus.
